Blessings and your Priesthood

Every identity that Christ Yeshua holds, the sons of God also hold. One of the identities that is clearly stated in the Book of Hebrews 5 is that of a High Priest.

So too Christ did not glorify Himself so as to be made a high priest, but He [was exalted and appointed by the One] who said to Him,

“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten (fathered) You [declared Your authority and rule over the nations]”;

just as He also says in another place,

“You are a priest [appointed] forever
According to the order of Melchizedek.”

Because your identity holds the keys and the framework for how you live, how you see yourself, and how you define yourself, understanding this identity is crucial for your experience as Christ. Your sense of ‘self’ flows from what you identify with and as. In this article, we are not going to elaborate on what it means to be a priest entirely, but we will identify a small facet of the mindset that a High Priest of God expresses.

There is a logic that many of us hold, that is conditional. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines ‘ conditional ’ as

:of or relating to something that will happen only if something else happens

It says that we need something to give something. For example, many people are afraid to go out to pray and heal the sick simply because they believe that they need to be in perfect health before this can be done. This concept is contrary to the scriptures and the truth of the Bible. Its origin is of the tree of the tree of knowledge of good and evil that was in the garden of Eden.

Where is it written that one needs to be one exceptional health to go give spirit and bring others into wholeness? Here is a thought to consider, what if that idea or concept is one of the hindrances that is holding you back from receiving what was already paid for by Yeshua? What if you have secret conditions for your own healing such as ‘thinking that you need to meet a particular body size/weight or eat a particular diet’, that are not scriptural?

It is no secret that your identity influences your behavior and your thoughts which would mean that if you are identifying as a Priest of God, then your behaviour and your thoughts should match that of God’s thoughts and behaviours.

If you truly believe that you are a Priest of God then your inspiration for functioning as a Priest should be the truth. A simple verse of inspiration is found in Acts 10.

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with great power; and He went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him

As this relates to you, if you are also anointed with the Holy Spirit, which is great power, then you also have the ability to heal all those that are oppressed.

Using your physical condition as a reason to not venture out is abandoning the Spirit of God in you and choosing that as your motivation or lack of inspiration.

This is also demonstrated when it comes to wealth. Giving as Priests does not mean that we have to wait until we get dollars and cents to bless others, but as Priests, we give what we have because it will always be multiplied.. Isn’t the creation coming out of you? If we use money as a condition to bless, then we will always have a lack because the Spirit does not flow from our subjective conditions.

The Wise King Solomon shared this piece of wisdom in the Book of Proverbs,

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due [its rightful recipients], When it is in your power to do it.

What if your multiplication was supposed to come through the seed that you didn’t want to sow because you placed conditions such as; becoming a millionaire in order to feed the hungry, or waiting till you have a wardrobe filled with fancy clothes in order to clothe the naked, or even waiting for some mystical blessing to fall into your hands in order to be the hand of God to another Yahweh?

What if Moses exercised his list of conditions and refused to go back to Egypt because he didn’t have sufficient transport to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt?

Here’s something to give consideration, ‘what if your finances seem to be stagnant because you are drafting conditions that are not in the scriptures, therefore hindering the seed to be planted for multiplication’?

Did Holy Spirit mention to you to sow a seed of blessing and purchase a month’s supply of food supplies for someone and you refused because of your conditions?

Did He mention through your thoughts to purchase a meal and give a homeless person, and you refused because of your drafted list of conditions?

Is there something that he has placed on your heart to do for another Yahweh or Priest of God that you kept putting off because you were waiting on a mystical blessing?

If this article has inspired you, then I encourage you to act upon the scriptures and when it is in your hands to do good, do not postpone it, but act on it inspired by the promises of God and your Identity as a High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek.
